Treatment development funding for Pulse

The Netherlands Film Fund has granted treatment development funding for our project Pulse. The feature film will be written and directed by Joost van Ginkel.

Erik, a world-famous DJ who is on top of his career, is in a constant state of inebriation of alcohol, sex and rousing beats to shelter his unhappiness. Until he causes an accident that severely wounds a nine-year-old girl, who dies some time afterwards. From that moment on, Erik is constantly haunted by guilt and it eventually forces him to reinvent himself.

This is Joost van Ginkel’s fourth feature film. His first two films (170Hz and The Paradise Suite) were succesful both in the Netherlands and abroad. His third feature film After the Storks is currently in financing.
